In November 2010 elections, Obama and the Democrats took the worst political "shellacking". Obama's willing to work with the new Ruplicans in office, but Republicans feel different. People feel that the election was about jobs and the economy. Citizens want to feel that they have a partnership with their elected leaders because they are finally realizing that the votes they make effect their everyday lives. The Republicans ideology is completely opposite of Obama's. They feel they were elected to undo the damage Obama and the Democrats have done since 2006. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that "Republicans long term goal should be to deny Obama a second term. McConnell also stated "The fact is that our primary legislative goals are to repeal and replace the health spending bill, to end the bailouts, cut soending and shrink the size and scope of government, the only way to do these things is to put someone in the White House who won't veto any of these things". The big question is what will happen now the Republicans are in office ? Obama will still follow his policies while trying to seek common ground with the lawmakers in Congress. White House spokesman say that People did not vote for repealing health care or do not want to relitigate what we did for the past two years. Obama still will continue to reach out to Republicans and try to persuade them. Republicans need to understand that America has given them equal responsibility for governing but Obama will still stick to his key principles, which I agree he should. Some American's have said that they are disappointed in Obama. A 46 year old lady stated that she is tired of the crime in her city. What she fails to realize is that Obama can't stop other humans actions so that in a way should have no responsbility on him. Instead of the republican making their selves busy with opposing Obama's plan they should try to work with him as much as possible. If this was really about trying to better America their would never be this much conflict. I believe this is a race issue. Some observers believe this goes all the way back to Katrina in 2005. A professor at Princeton University feels that is what helped Obama when the Presidential election. Now ironically the GOP has been filled with Republicans. What I hope people will learn is that with TIME change comes Obama has only been in presidency for two years, thats not enough time to undo the damages of America.
